Frequently asked questions

Where is the best place to find singles?

In-person singles events are the best way to meet potential partners. You know the person in front of you isn't catfishing or a bot, and someone married or looking to deceive you won't want to appear in a public place. They cared enough to pay for a ticket, and get off the couch!

What do I do when I arrive at the Lock & Key event?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in. Our friendly Host will be there to greet you. If you've bought a ticket, your name will be on the list, you don't need a physical ticket. The Host will give you instructions. The event lasts 2 hours.

How does the Lock & Key Event work?

Once you check in, single women will get a lock on a necklace, single men will get a key. You'll talk to each person there as you try to unlock. If you unlock, go to the check in table for a raffle ticket and a new lock or key. Then try to unlock with a new person.

Will I only unlock with one person?

You'll talk to each person there as you try to unlock, and you may match with a quite a few people. So you'll get at least 1-2 unlocks and raffle tickets. But remember, the goal of the evening is to make quality connections, so go slow and try to spend time with each person. It's not a race!

Can I hold my own Lock & Key Party?

Will there be an even number of men and women?

Yes it should be an even amount. We carefully control the number of tickets sold, so the balance is as even as possible. That's why we don't allow tickets sold at the door. Outside of our control, however, some people don't honor their commitment and "no show" but we try to get as even as we can.
