The next event in our Weak Ties series is A Vivacious Valentines Day! We're throwing a party to show that Valentines Day is not just for those in Love! It's a day for all to celebrate and have fun. Come join us for what's bound to be a fun mixer and celebrate love in all forms!
Since this is a Weak Ties Event and we like a little chaos at the Seattle Social Club, we encourage you to ask out that person you've been meaning to flirt with or the one you think is cute on the dating apps! Themed Drinks: The dock is working hard on putting together holiday-themed drink specials to get you in the holiday spirit with actual spirits.
Stop Light Wrist Bands: We'll be throwing things back to college and using the stoplight system. When you check in you can choose from three wrist bands:
- Blue: Looking for Mr Right. You're unattached and looking for the next Mr. Right.
- White: Looking for Friends. You're just looking for friends at the moment!
- Red: Gossip Girl, I'll never tell. Maybe you're looking for Mr Right, maybe you're looking for Mr Tonight, maybe you're content as you are. This ticket is for you!
A Toast to Being Single: Each ticket includes a toast to being single! Let's celebrate our freedom and all the self love! We all deserve love both from ourselves and others so lets toast to it!
Spins on the Wheel of Love: Each ticket also includes a spin on the wheel of love! Take a chance at love and win cool prizes!
A DJ: We’re bringing a DJ in to play today’s top hits and classic love songs.
Taco Tuesday: Its Taco Tuesday at the Dock! Get specials on delicious food!
Weak Tie Ticket Sales: This event is a weak-ties event which means when you buy a ticket you’re actually buying two! Bring your best friend or your roommate, use it as an excuse to ask out your hinge date, or the person you’ve always needed a reason to talk to! This event is designed for establishing new connections in your community all while having fun! Just moved here? We’ll also have solo tickets so you can jump-start your social circle!
Please Note: This event will be outside in the Docks Beer Garden. They have a covered tent with heaters, but a jacket wouldn't hurt!
The weak ties premise: At the Seattle Social Club, we're fascinated by the idea of weak ties. Weak ties are the people you meet at parties, friends of friends, coworkers, and other people you interact with in your daily lives. Research shows that fostering your weak ties can lead to increased happiness and an increased sense of belonging in your community. Weak ties also serve as a way for you to meet potential dates, many people meet their future spouses through their weak ties. Unfortunately, since Covid has come along, it’s been way harder to increase your weak ties and even harder to date!
So when you purchase a ticket you are actually buying one for yourself and one for a friend. Bring your single friend, the guy you run into in your building elevator, a friend of a friend, or even one of your matches from a previous event. Everyone else will bring their weak ties and we'll get together and mingle with each other. You may walk away with a new date, a new friend, or just a fun time!
We offer several different ticket types and while this event is designed to bring a friend, we offer several options to make sure everyone is able to attend!
